In this 2014 Crohn’s and Colitis UK video, meet Fergus Prior and his family. Fergus, a 9-year-old boy lived with Crohn’s disease.
Learn how his family joined forces to raise money for the Crohn’s and Colitis UK and bring a better chance for their son and brother.
His father joined a 8 man team to row the Atlantic in an attempt to break the record of 32 days and raise £100,000.
£109,784.91 later and after an amazing 32 days, 22 hours, 31 minutes and 25 seconds, they all arrived at Port St Charles in Barbados. Just a couple hours shy of the word record, but they still landed the “silver medal”, being “the second fastest time ever in a mono-hull class (conventional rowing boat) on this ocean route!”
A great result for the team and for the charity.
