Aloe Vera
Often used raw as a topical healing gel, aloe vera can also be consumed. The plant is an anti-inflammatory which also has antibacterial properties. Small studies of aloe vera use for patients who have ulcerative colitis showed less disease progression than among patients who received a placebo. However, aloe vera is also a laxative so taking it could cause a problem if you are prone to diarrhea.
