2. David Garrard
The former Jacksonville Jaguars Quarterback was first diagnosed with Crohn’s in 2004. Garrard, 38, is a prominent figure in the Crohn’s community and his David Garrard Foundation regularly holds sporting events, including “Fishing for the Cure” to raise awareness and money for Crohn’s disease.
Garrard also underwent surgery to treat his Crohn’s. He had about 12 inches of his intestines removed.
