An NBC News correspondent, Cynthia McFadden was first diagnosed with Crohn’s in college. Her friends decided to name her condition “George,” and Cynthia has referred to her Crohn’s as George ever since. McFadden is an advocate for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
