Symptoms of the disease include abdominal pain, diarrhea, bloody stools, weight loss, loss of appetite, fatigue and fever and flares can last from weeks to months.
There is currently no cure for Crohn’s disease but there are treatments and medications that can help control the symptoms and the disease can be managed to a certain extent by lifestyle changes. Some patients with moderate to severe cases of Crohn’s disease may need surgery.
