Giana explains that she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at the age of 10, and regularly has to undergo colonoscopies and endoscopies. She describes how the day before the procedure she needs to mix a bottle of laxative powder with sports drinks, and that the sports drink cannot be red as it may be mistaken for blood in the tests. Then she needs to drink the mixture throughout the day and to not eat any solid food.
