Living With Ulcerative Colitis: Sarah Beth’s Story

In this vlog from Sarah Beth Yoga, Sarah Beth talks about her journey with ulcerative colitis. She first began showing symptoms of the disease at five years old and was diagnosed with UC when she was eight.

Dr. Meschino talks about diets which could help to reduce IBD flares.

She talks about the early medications she took to help control the symptoms of the condition and how over the years she has changed her lifestyle habits and has managed to stay in remission and is now medication-free. Sarah Beth also talks about how she changed her diet and began looking into traditional Eastern therapies. She explains that even when she did have a rare flare, she was able to get it under control with diet and exercise, but acknowledges that what has worked for her will not necessarily work for others with UC.
